Last summer, Andy worked really hard clearing out a spot for a garden. We didn't get anything in last year so, we were determined to get things planted this year.
Before we could plant, we needed to get holes dug for fence posts. While we love to see wildlife (especially deer) in our yard, we didn't want to see them in our garden.

Dirt/Sand. What a great thing to play with. :)
The posts are in. Next came the fencing. And planting.

We've sprouted! Here's the corn.

We also planted two pear trees and two apple trees. Caleb loves helping his dad so much!
Time to water the trees.
The orange fences are around the fruit trees. In about 3 years, the apple trees will be mature and bearing fruit. It will take the pear trees about 6 years before we have fruit. The garden is on the other side of the trees (you can see the orange 'flags' on the fencing around the garden).
It's suppose to rain all week so, hopefully our garden will grow a lot! We are looking forward to the fresh produce that will come from OUR garden this year!! :)
