Cutting Down the Tree: Andy was ready to go and cut down a Christmas tree and since I wasn't feeling well he took Caleb along for a second opinion.
Ready to Help: Caleb was very excited for the Christmas tree lights. He saw us 'testing' the lights before putting them on the tree and before we knew it, he was helping out and 'testing' them for us. (Don't worry there is a safety plug in the outlet). In general, it was fun to watch his face light up when the lights came on - such amazement :)
A Tempting Tree: The tree is finished (minus the tree skirt). Between the lights and ornaments, it seemed like the tree was just calling out Caleb's name. For the most part though, he did a great job at 'looking but not touching'. He did however find the Flounder ornament (bottom right) and liked taking it off the tree and trying to put it back on. It's not breakable so thankfully it didn't cause me too much stress.
Every morning, he would come up to the tree and want us to plug it in. Once it was all lit up, he was very excited and smiled constantly. What a joy!
As if tree was not tempting enough - the presents just drew him in! Especially the curly ribbon and small boxes that made noises.
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Evans for the St. Nick's presents and this box. True to any kid, he enjoyed playing with this box more than the presents inside. I was tempted to put a bow on him and put him under the tree. :)
